Dental chews are not all the same. The Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC) reviews evidence and lists products that slow plaque, tartar or both. Greenies, OraVet and Purina DentaLife are three widely sold chews on its current list for dogs. Greenies is listed for both plaque and tartar, while OraVet and DentaLife Daily Oral Care are listed for tartar.
